In the context of the student-centered approach that characterizes the Department of Tourism Economics and Management, the initiative of the students to create a Volunteer Support Group of the Department entitled TODIT Club was adopted, which aims to bring the student community even closer with the functions of the Department.
Mission:
The mission of the TODiT Club is to support actions for the promotion and promotion of the Department of Tourism Economics and Management. The volunteers will support the needs that arise, in collaboration with the existing structures of the Department and will thus have opportunities and possibilities to acquire new skills and abilities for their development through non-formal and informal learning processes.
Objectives of TODIT Club:
- The participation in already planned but also the entire organization of actions and events that will strengthen the creation of a positive image and the increase of interest in the Department.
- The diffusion of the Department's academic actions and initiatives that will stimulate the feeling of belonging.
- The collaboration with the Promotion and Outreach Committee of the Department, which is active in the organization of actions and events with the aim of expanding partnerships, highlighting and promoting the Department.
- The cooperation with the existing Student Association of the Department of Tourism Economics and Management "OMIROS" (and in due course with the Alumni Association of the Department of Economics and Tourism Management) in matters related to the visibility and promotion of the Department.
The project of TODiT Club includes:
- Attracting volunteers. Group members can be active students or graduates. Older members should ensure the smooth integration of new volunteers and try to resolve any behavior and cooperation problems that may arise.
- Preparation of a Register of Volunteers in which the data of those who wish and accept to participate in the voluntary actions of the TODiT Club will be collected.
For the implementation of the above, the members of the TODiT Club will hold regular meetings where they will appoint a leader of each action who will take care of its successful implementation and, as the case may be, they will cooperate with a representative of the Tourism Finance and Administration Department.
