The Department of Tourism Economics and Management, in the context of its development strategy, with the main goals of extroversion, excellence, research and innovation, has concluded Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with co-located University Institutions, Research and Development Bodies. The signing of the MoUs constitutes a legal but also a substantial commitment of the contracting institutions/bodies to develop academic, scientific and research cooperation, aiming at mutual and wider social benefit.
Research Organizations – Institutes
The Research Institute for Tourism (RIT) is a non-profit organization founded in July 1996 by the initiative of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and of other tourism agents, with main objective the study of the tourism sector in Greece and other competitive countries. The cooperation of the Department of Tourism Economics and Management with the RIT will concern issues and topics of common interests and purposes, in the context of a unified place of training and research in the field of Tourism, Human Resources Development, Sustainable Development, New Technologies, Entrepreneurship, Tourism Business Administration and others that fall within the framework and spirit of the above.
