The Department encourages its students with moral and material incentives for the continuous improvement and excellence during their studies. The Achievement Awards are a statutory process of materially rewarding the leading and distinguished graduates and students of each year with monetary prizes, which come from institutional resources, government aid and private/business sponsorships. For reasons of encouragement and example, the ceremony takes place during the Graduation Ceremony of the Department's graduates.
Every year, a large number of scholarships are announced for all academic subjects, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The terms and conditions for granting the scholarships are mentioned in the announcements in the website of the University of the Aegean.
