Laboratory of Innovative Tourism Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Development “iTED Lab”

The Laboratory of Innovative Tourism Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Development "iTED Lab" is an institutionalized research laboratory serving the educational and research needs of the Department in the disciplines of management of tourism enterprises, management and development of human resources, entrepreneurship, administration, innovation in tourism, economy, tourism development, policy and planning in tourism, specific forms of tourism, marketing and promotion, distance education - training in tourism, collaborative networks, communication and information technologies in tourism, etc.

According to the Internal Regulations of the Laboratory, the purpose of the establishment and operation of the "iTED Lab" is:

1. The coverage of research areas related to the cognitive objects of the Laboratory.
2. The development and promotion of research at the University of the Aegean.
3. The development of research activity and its connection with sectors of the economy, society, and administration.
4. The functional connection of research with tourism entrepreneurship.
5. The creation of a research base with the aim of gathering specialized scientific knowledge.
6. The collection, processing, and disposal of data to support future research.
7. The promotion of the cooperation with academic institutions, research laboratories, scientific bodies, professional associations and bodies, chambers, bodies of public and local sectors, in topics of common research interest.

Members of the "iTED Lab" are the academic staff of the Department, postdoctoral researchers, doctors and Ph.D. candidates of the relevant department or other academic institutions, with research objects that fall within the teaching and research interests of the Laboratory..
