Dr. Anna Kyriakaki is Assistant Professor in “Locality and Social Sustainability in Tourism” of the Department of Economics and Tourism Management at University of the Aegean, Adjunct Academic Staff at the Postgraduate Program in “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism” at the University of West Attica, Aegean University & National Centre for Social Research and Tutor at the Postgraduate Program in “Management of Tourism Enterprises” and Undergraduate Program “Tourism Management” at the Hellenic Open University.
She holds a PhD in Tourism Development (locality, social psychology, sustainability), a Master degree (M.Sc.) in “Tourism, Planning, Management and Policy”, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of the Aegean, Greece. Her major research interests are in tourism development and more specific in locality, sustainability, special and alternative forms of tourism and sociology of tourism.
She teaches at the undergraduate and postgraduate programs tourism modules, such as, Development and Management Special and Alternative forms of Tourism, Tourism Development, Economic and Physical Planning of Tourism, Tourism Management, Tourism and Hospitality Services Management, Sociology and Anthropology of Tourism, etc.
She has contributed to several national and international research projects in tourism development and her work has been published in international academic journals and conference proceedings. She is reviewer at international academic journals, an active member of the Laboratory for Tourism Research and Studies (ETEM) at the University of the Aegean and member of Scientific Team of Master International, Research & Development Center (MIRDEC).
